Relationships Before Transactions

The Principle That Has Guided My Business Journey

Over the years, I have worked across different businesses, industries and markets. I have seen opportunities come and go, markets rise and fall, and technologies completely change the way we do business.

But one principle has remained constant throughout my journey:

Relationships before transactions. Always.

A transaction may last a day. A good relationship can last decades.

For me, business has never been only about buying, selling or completing a deal. It is about the people behind the deal. It is about trust, respect, communication and understanding what each side is trying to achieve.

Some of the most valuable opportunities in my career have come not from chasing a transaction, but from maintaining relationships.

This becomes even more important when doing business internationally. Different countries have different cultures, expectations and ways of working. Contracts and numbers matter, but so does understanding people.

I believe your reputation is built slowly—one commitment, one conversation and one decision at a time.

That is why I prefer to think long term. I want customers, suppliers, partners and colleagues to know that when we work together, I am interested in creating value for both sides.

As I continue building businesses and exploring new opportunities, this philosophy remains at the center of everything I do.

Because ultimately, good businesses are built by people—and strong businesses are built on strong relationships.
