After years of experience in business and real estate, I wanted to create businesses around opportunities I could see in the market.
In 2022, I established Redwood Trading.
Starting your own business is very different from working within an established organization.
You become responsible for everything—from strategy and relationships to customers, suppliers, operations and growth.
There is uncertainty, but there is also freedom to create.
My approach was never to build something for short-term results. I wanted to establish relationships with reliable suppliers, understand our customers and gradually develop a business capable of growing over time.
One venture eventually leads you to recognize opportunities in other areas.
That entrepreneurial mindset has since expanded into interests across real estate, digital platforms, technology, consumer businesses, international trade and art.
I continue to believe that entrepreneurship is fundamentally about solving problems and recognizing opportunities.
You don’t need to know everything before you begin.
You need a direction, strong values, good people around you—and the willingness to keep learning.
